About
The Farrer Old Boys Association (FOBA) is a proud network of past students dedicated to keeping the Farrer spirit alive and supporting the next generation of Farrer boys.

The Association was officially founded in 1944 by the first graduating class of 1943, forming a lifelong connection between the school and its alumni. Since then, thousands of Farrer Old Boys have stayed connected through reunions, mentorship, and support for the school and its students.

Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School, located in Tamworth, opened its gates in 1939 named in honour of William James Farrer (1845–1906), a pioneering agronomist and wheat breeder whose groundbreaking work in developing disease-resistant wheat varieties, including the famous 'Federation' strain, helped secure Australia's place as a global agricultural leader.

At Farrer, lifelong friendships are forged, and boys gain more than just an education; they become part of a proud, enduring community. The Old Boys Association exists to nurture that community long after graduation.

Our Committee.
The Farrer Old Boys Association is led by a volunteer Committee of past students who are passionate about keeping the Farrer spirit alive. The Committee meets at least twice per year to plan events, support the school, and strengthen connections across the Old Boys community.

If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
